Case 1265: Mommy Makeover (Body Contouring)

After having children, this patient was unhappy with the contour of her abdomen and the size and shape of her breasts. She wanted a "mommy makeover," which is a term used to describe various surgeries that reverse the negative effects of having children. The areas most commonly affect by pregnancy are the breast and abdomen. She chose to have breast enlargement with silicone breast implants to improve the proportions of her breast. Although she has some sagging of her breasts, she did not want to undergo breast lift at the same time. Breast implants will often provide a slight lift by themselves. For the trunk region, she underwent an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with liposuction of the lateral thighs and flanks (love handle) region. This resulted in an improvement in the balance between the breasts and trunk region. She is very happy with the results.
